Using coupons for what they are not for...?

Well i am sure this is called coupon fraud... But i have been employed by a company for a couple of years and i recently found out that the coupons that they give you on your receipt for certain items they they sell can be used on other stuff... All the computer sees is the amount it takes off not what the item is suppose to before. I have been buying things and using the coupons that the store gives you towards things. I found out that you can be fired for this a day ago by a online blog.

I am going to stop but i am afraid that a coworker, if he gets caught, he is going to tell on me for doing it and i am going to lose my job as well... You use a card so i guess there is a way to see that i have been doing it too.

So my questions...

Can you get fired by using coupons that are in your name but use the coupons other then what they are specified, can you get fired if not visibly caught by a store manger?

What would they do if someone told that you have been doing it?

(the coupons are usually for like less then 5 dollars)Using coupons for what they are not for...?
Yes you can be fired if it can be proved and coupon fraud is illegal which could lead to criminal charges.!~!
